AWA Hotel is located at the heart of Munich, just a few meters away from the central train station or other sightseeing spots. You could say, the perfect location for business travelers, tourist or anybody who is spending a night in the buzzing city.
Attractions like Marienplatz, Viktualienmarkt, Theresienwiese (where Oktoberfest takes place), Frauenkirche or the beloved Hop on Hop off tour starting point, are all nearby within walking distance.

Shopping areas are located at Marienplatz, but also located undergrounds at Stachus. The real Bavarian food can also be found nearby the hotel. There are plenty of good, budget restaurants around the area which are suited for every type of guest.
After the day in our beautiful City is finished, we welcome you again at the hotel for a drink at the bar.
The AWA Hotel is conveniently located in Schillerstraße, just a few minutes’ walk from Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof).
From Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof):
Exit the station towards Schillerstraße. Walk about 50 meters, and you will find the hotel on your right.
From Munich Airport:
Take the S-Bahn line S1 or S8 to Munich Central Station. From there, follow the walking directions above
Currently the Schillerstraße is due constructions closed. We advice all our guests who arrive with car to drive through the Sonnenstraße, directly through the Adolf Kolpingstraße to reach the hotel.
You are welcomed to stop right in front of the hotel to unload and start the check-in process.
We then are happy to assist you in describing the way to the nearest parking-garage. Parking can be reserved with us beforehand for 20,00€ a day. A parking card can be reserved and picked up at the hotel (limited spots only). The parking area is called City Parking and is located in the Senefelderstraße 7-13. The parking area is open 24/7 and can be entered and left at any time using the parking card. This parking area can also be used without the hotel parking card for 25,00 € per day (by taking a paper ticket from the counter when entering the garage).
Another option is the CONTIPARK Tiefgarage Stachus, located in the Herzog-Wilhelm-Straße 11, 7 min. by foot away from the hotel. The parking costs are 35,00€ per day. For more info, please contact the parking area.

The Schillerstraße neighborhood is a lively, multicultural area with a mix of shops, restaurants, and cafés. While it has a bustling urban character, its proximity to Munich Central Station makes it an excellent base for exploring the city. Within walking distance, you’ll find famous attractions such as Marienplatz, Karlsplatz (Stachus), and the Theresienwiese (Oktoberfest grounds).
Although the area is safe, visitors should be aware that, like in many central city locations, it can be busy, especially in the evenings. However, many guests appreciate the convenience and accessibility of the location.
